Pupil Leadership
In September 2024, we launched an extended Pupil Leadership initiative. Moving away from the traditional School Council model, we now have five distinct leadership groups, each with a clear focus and purpose:
- Pupil Leadership Team (Year 6 only)
- Sports Council
- Literacy Leaders
- Fundraising Team
- The Worship Collective
Each September, children have the opportunity to apply or stand for election, with voting carried out by their peers in class. Those chosen are not just representing their year group—they are spokespeople for all the children in our school, ensuring every pupil’s voice is heard.
Each leadership group meets once per half-term to discuss ideas, share feedback, and plan actions. Together, they work on a wide range of priorities, from school improvement projects to charitable and community causes. Whether it’s improving playground equipment, planning a sports festival, boosting our reading culture, raising funds for worthy causes, or leading collective worship, our pupil leaders play a vital role in shaping school life and making a positive difference for everyone.
